Adam Wickens a.k.a Admin is a producer-DJ from Bristol, UK.
Adam champions "bedroom" beatmaking, drawing inspiration from his soulful record collection. His bandcamp discography is equal measures dance and chill. Most tracks could be either depending on the setting and mood.
A decade of DJing has established a number of very discerning fans. Word of his revered homegrown Slix Disco events at The Love Inn have travelled far beyond the realms of Stokes Croft.
Adam and I have become the kind of virtual mates typical of the times. By now, I would have most likely booked him for an OOX party. Soon come a sunny day in the near future when that does happen. I have learnt masses from his digging recommendations - for which I am super grateful. And now, here he is to introduce his super unique mixtape for our series...
"When Hamish very kindly invited me to join his mix series I took the opportunity to explore some the slower soul side of my tastes and some of the records I have been sticking on during the days in lockdown. Here I share with you music that I think carries a powerful and raw emotional value and provides a deep and personal home listening experience.
